My cousin, Magori, (on the left in the photo, below) called a meeting and announced she was a candidate for Mara region under the Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) ticket for the post of member of parliament, special seats, in the October general elections.
At that meeting, it became apparent why members of parliament do not visit their constituencies regularly. One of the invitees, above right, was already raising an issue with the would-be member of parliament. Magori's bid was not successful.
Earlier, students from a school in Dar es Salaam's Academic International School visited Butiama with their teacher and we took a group photo (below). One student said he will one day become minister of finance and another was certain he would become minister of works. They urged me to run for president.
It made sense. After such a compliment they would definitely be in my cabinet.

They also told me they were members of the singing groups organized by TANU during the independence struggle in which my uncle, Joseph Nyerere, took a prominent role.

My cousin, Fulgence Kitigwa, above left, runs a video shooting and production business and today brought along a choir group for a video shooting session for
one of their video albums.
This spot was a favorite.
The lead singer received special attention.
The entire experience was memorable to everyone, the members of the group and to some of us who saw the video shoot.
