The EARC was one of the corporations of the defunct East African Community, which lasted until its collapse in 1977, formed by the governments of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in the early 1960s.
I blog what I observe around me, and I end up writing on a wide range of subjects including cultural tourism, customs and traditions, travel, and mountaineering. Specifically, what happens in and around the village of Butiama, the birthplace and final resting place of Tanzania's founding president, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere.

The New Dodoma Hotel
The New Dodoma Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Dodoma, having being part of the properties of the defunct East African Railways Corporation (EARC).

Madaraka,
I used to just had a glimpse of Dodoma Hotel on my stop-over in Dodoma by rail since secondary school years.
Recently, since I have been staying in Dodoma for a while I used to go to New Dodoma Hotel to have some sodas while working on my plans, and I found it very worthwhile. Serene environments, professional waiter and waitress services and so forth.
About last two weeks while in Dar, I visited the Kilimanjaro Kempiski Hotel to have some sodas while working through my laptops. It used to be serene those days but now doesn't seem as serene for a person who goes there for some sodas and affordable services.
Problem is mazoea, Kilimanjaro Hotel was my favourite for sweeming, sodas, friends chatting, and the Tanzanite Band but not these days.
Glad that still there some good Hotels still maintaining the 'old silver lining.'
